There is a new Sage 100 Fund Accounting review in the June issue of CPA Practice Management. The review assigns the highest five-star rating overall and also to specific areas: management features, financial statements and reporting, integration and import/export, and help/support. The review especially cites the software’s scope, depth and flexibility with particular reference to the work flow navigation, unlimited segmented chart of accounts, the Visual Analyzer dashboard, budget management, FASB and GASB compliance, and integration with Sage Grant Management and Fundraising 50 systems.
The only negatives cited were cost and complexity of installation and setup. The cost issue was further qualified by representative pricing for the single-user bundle, making it affordable to smaller nonprofit organizations. The review also negated the installation complexity issue to some extent by describing the strength of the product help features and support.
I am generally critical of most software reviews but this one shows some depth and understanding, not normally observed.
