Donald Gardner is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Consultant for Sage MIP Fund Accounting software. He has 30 years of management experience in virtually every business sector, including nonprofit companies, where he has performed internal and external auditing, grant administration, and investment management. Since 2003, Gardner has focused on nonprofit software solutions for charter schools, healthcare organizations, thrift-store funded organizations, and social-service agencies.
Gardner, a Denver resident who has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and history from the University of Colorado, began his accounting career as an audit manager for a regional CPA firm and focused his work mostly on nonprofit organizations. He then served as Chief Financial Officer of a large nonprofit business for 20 years. In addition to his consulting activities with NFP Partners, he has volunteered technical support to several startup nonprofits, as well as to his church, and has been a member of the Colorado Society of CPA’s Member Connection Committee, the Nonprofit Forum, and the Leadership Council.
Gardner is married to Lynnda, and has a son and a daughter. Gardner enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, golfing, and playing with his two dogs, Bella and Scooter.
